Before the Tenancy Starts
We ask that all tenants please check they have submitted all the required paperwork before any of them comes to our office for a Walk-In appointment. We require from each tenant before we can give out any keys:-
- Same copy of the contract signed by all tenants
- Deposit and Administration Fee paid
- Guarantor Form signed and returned
- Confirmation of how rent will be paid
- First month’s rent to be cleared in our account
If this is likely to cause problems please let us know when making your appointment to come into the office!
The first tenant to pick up keys is required to book in a Walk-In appointment with us so that we can run through some house-specific information. To book, please call us on 0114 2683325 or e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
All tenants will be e-mailed a copy of an inventory. Please complete and return to us within 7 days of the first person collecting keys – in the past it has proved invaluable to tenants as a record of any damage in the property from before they moved in.
The inventory is a list of things that tenants do not want to be charged for, not a list of repairs that we are going to do to the house. Please feel free to take as many photographs as is necessary and attach them, though we will also have our own.
The purpose of the inventory is to help protect your deposit, so it is always much more useful when filled in with a greater level of detail!
